Show Richard Steele claims Karen Jcx in June 24 double-ring ceremony , Miss Karen Jex became the bride of Richard Hamilton Steele on June 24 in a double ring ceremony at the Ninth Ward Church. Bishop Francis Betenson officiated. Following the wedding the newlywed9 greeted guests at a reception given at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jex. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs, Hugh Steele, San Diego, Calif. The bride's gown was nylon ny-lon over satin featuring a high neckline and and empire em-pire waistline. The bride is a graduate of Cedar High and Southern Utah State College with a degree de-gree in Sociology. Mr. Steele graduated from Kearny High School in San Diego and Mesa Junior College Col-lege also in San Diego. Prior to the wedding the bride was guest of honor at showers given by Mrs. Hugh Steele, Lorelee Butler, Jan Steele and Morine Steele; Wal-li Wal-li Creamer; and Gay and Jill Carter. ed lace went down the front of the bodice to meet in a V at the waistline and then contiuned down the length of the skirt. A long lace train and a long veil falling from a Juliet cap completed the bridal picture. She carried a bouquet of lavender orchids with long white and silver streamers made by the bridegroom's bride-groom's mother. Attending the bride were Misses Jan and Morine Steele, and Melissa Thorloy, Mrs. David Da-vid (Heidi) Rindlesbaucher, Mrs. Pat (Walli) Creamer, Misses Katie Walton, Madeline Made-line Tullis, Jane Williams, and Jill Carter, i Miss Sherri Jex was her sister's ' maid of honor and Miss Deoahn Steele was the flower girl. The bridal attendants wore floor length dresses in a lavender la-vender floral print. They featured fea-tured long sleeves, high ruffled ruf-fled collars and empire waists accented with a darker lavender laven-der ribbon. Dark lavender hats were used to accessorize the dresses. Each carried a lace basket of orchids, carnations and bachelor buttons. Ronald Steele stood as the bridegroom's best man and the ushering was done by Or-rie Or-rie Hamilton III, Alan Gil-berg, Gil-berg, Michael Richards, Neal Ahlstrom, Michael Tower, Ooran Butler, Keith Jex, Ronald Ron-ald Woolf and Archie Ofte-dahl. Ofte-dahl. Mrs. Jex worP a street length len-gth dress of pink with long I sleeves and a white trim accenting ac-centing the waist and collar.
