Hansen, son of Mr., and Mrs. Alvin Jay Hansen, Han-sen, and Miss Mickie Rae Macfarlane, Mac-farlane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. J, Macfarlane were united in marriage June 24, in a double-ringe ceremony performed per-formed at the Parowan Third Ward LDS Chapel: Bishop Stephen Ste-phen ' R. Adams officiated in the ceremony. The wedding march and prelude music was played by Mrs. Ruth Ann Bentley. A rehearsal luncheon was given in their honor at the home of the bridegroom's parents par-ents the afternoon of the wedding. sen, and Laurie Hansen. Mothers of the bridal couple wore dresses of same design as attendants and wore cors- The couple were honored at a reception following the ceremony cere-mony in the cultural hall, which was beautifully decorated decor-ated In the color scheme chosen chos-en by the bride. They greeted guests in front of a satin seed-pearl seed-pearl backdrop draped with magenta velvet, j The bride was radiant in a dress made and designed by a close friend, Mrs. Kathy Shakespeare. The gown was of antique satin with an empire em-pire waist line, high neck and long balloon sleeves, which were accented with bridal lace. A shoulder-length veil fell from a crown of seed pearl drops and stones. She carried a cascade of white miniature carnations and pearl cultured cultur-ed stephanotis, surrounding a large lavender orchid. Attending the bride were Mrs. Jay (Veon) Winter and Mrs. Heber (Anna Dee) Lund, sisters of the birde as matrons of honor. They carried cascades cas-cades of lavender colonial bouques. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Darwin (Kathy) Shakespeare, Shakes-peare, LaVonna Peterson, Diane Di-ane Rasmussen, Melonie Hansen, Han-sen, Laurie Hansen. They wore ages of pink carnations and stephanotis. Standing as best men were Nathan Hansen and Fred Steinfels. Ushers wehe John Ford, Heber Lund, Jay Winter, Win-ter, Kim Hansen, Curtis and Jay Leslie Winter and Michael Mich-ael Lund.. Presiding at the guest book were Mrs. Mary Ann Ford and Marna Heap. In charge of the gift tables were Mrs. Michael Francon, April Rollins, Mrs. Kenny Watson, Wat-son, and Mrs. Jim Adams. Assisting As-sisting in the kitchen were aunts of the bride, Mrs. Mala Rollins, Mrs. Mary M. Mathe-son, Mathe-son, Mrs. Emma Rasmussen, Mrs. Leone Rasmussen.. Serving Serv-ing was done by the Misses Leslie Orton, Michon Robinson, Robin-son, Ava and Nancy Adams. Dancing was enjoyed during the evening to music from the Heber Lund orchestra. A three-tiered wedding cake was made and decorated by Mrs, Dorothy Ahlborn, with purple and pink rosebuds, topped with two large , wedding wed-ding bells tied with bow encircling en-circling wedding rings. The bride graduated from Parowan High School and received re-ceived her degree this June from SUSC in elementary education. edu-cation.
