Show Clark L. Orton, Parowan native dies honored at Services the deceased, Albert, Wills, Lee Hoy, Douglas and Kerry Orton and his son-in-law Decker Orton, Clark Laub Orton was born in Parowan, May 24, 1915 to A. Clark and Minnie Laub Orton. He graduated from Parowan High School and attended college in Cedar City and Logan. He was married to Lois McBride on June 16, 1937. He was a rancher and a good butcher and meat cutter. He is survived by his wife, Lois, five sons and a daughter, Albert, Parowan, Wells, Paragonah, LeeRoy, Downey, Katherine, Monticello, Douglas, Walnut Creek and Kerry, Concord, Con-cord, Calif. 13 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters, Worth, Reed and Hal , Orton and Mrs. Ola Robinson all of Parowan. Eldon, Salt Lake City, Mrs. Phyllis Clayten, Mrs. Vera Mathis and Mrs. Carma . Mathis all of Calif. ; ; All of the Clark L. Orton family were here for the funeral. X Hal Orton. Pall bearers were the five sons of Paragonah cemetery the dedicatory prayer was offered by Ily Hilma Lamoreaux Mr. Clark L. Orton, age 61, a former resident of Parowan and Paragonah passed away in a Calif! hospital June 16 following a stroke. He was a resident of Downey at the time of his illness. Funeral services were held on Sat. June 19 in the Paragonah, Ward Chapel under the direction of Bishop Kenneth G. Topham. The family prayer in the Relief Society room where the viewing was held was offered by Dennis Mosdell. The prelude and postlude music was by Mrs. Melva Barton. Musical numbers were a vocal solo, "The Lord is My Shepherd," by Dewey Topham accompaned by Mrs. . Vyonne Chamberlain, a vocal duet "Beyond the Sunset" by Mrs. Frankie Lou Bentley and Mrs. Brenda Adams accompaned ac-companed by Mrs. Chamberlain and an organ medley of favorite songs by Mrs. Doris Williams. Reed Orton was the speaker and after remarks by the Bishop the benediction was pronounced by James C. Robinson. At the |
