Show Bicycle trail opens By KATHLEEN WILSON On June 4 at 9 a.m., a bicycle trail ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned with the mayor of each city in Davis County riding from his city limit to the end of the trail in Clinton. "Pedal along the shores of the world's largest inland sea, the Great Salt Lake, for 34 miles of easy and delightful bicycling..." begins the trail guide recently published pub-lished by the Davis County Commission Com-mission and enthusiastically intro duced at Council of Governments by Commissioner Tippetts. The guide outlines a bicycle route from Center Street in North Salt Lake to 500 West in Clinton. Bicyclists are encouraged to take this route because it is less traveled and it affords a view of the Great Salt Lake, Antelope and Fremont Islands, Mount Ben Lomond and the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The bicyclists will also encounter en-counter the many communities along the way. Rest points are suggested. |
