Show l I .1 N S" 0 S Eagle Scout David Sanders Local boy gets Scout Aw ard CEDAR CITY - David Sanders received his Eagle Scout Award Sunday at the Cedar City West LDS Stake Court of Honor. Presenting his award was his scoutmaster, Jim Lunt. The son of Ron and Sharlene Sanders, he is 12 years old and a seventh grade student at Cedar Middle School. He is a member of troop 317, acting as patrol leder and as a counselor in his deacons quorum. He has earned 70 merit badges and says he enjoyed en-joyed Beekeeping, Space Exploration, Reptile Study and Insect Life best. He has also earned his Arrow of Light, Duty to God Trail Award, Faith in God Award and the World Conservation Award. Sanders' eagle project was organizing and carrying out a safety campaign on poison prevention. He delivered literature on prevention and treatment of poisons, as well as bottles of ipecac syrup to the homes in the ward. He also made posters and set up a window display at Cowley Drug. |
