Show Pioneer Courthouse to present three plays evening for this eighth anniversary an-niversary of productions in the 19th century Washington County Courthouse, which has been adapted for theatre in the round. GEORGE - Three plays have been selected for the 1982 season of Pioneer Courthouse Players for performances running July 7 through Aug. 14. The opening night performance per-formance will be the hilarious classic, "Servant of Two Masters," adapted in 19th century production style for Courthouse Players. "Servant of Two Masters" shows the influenc of 17th century improvisational theatre in the characterizations charac-terizations of Truffaldino, the servant who tries rather unsuccessfully to serve two masters at once, and in the other servants, who are always i in trouble with their masters. The pompous master who attempts to keep lovers apart and servants from achieving their mischievous ends adds to the comedy, which includes both satire and physical hilarity. The second play in the season, which will open inrepertory performances on July 8 will be "Dirty Work at the Crossroads," a melodrama in the original sense. Musical backgrounds will add to moments of tenderness and suspense, and the satire of earlier acting styles will create the humor which Courthouse ( audiences have come to love. An original play by Dr. C. Paul Andersen, founder-director founder-director of the Courthouse Players will open July 9. "Lilly, Prisoner of the Past," is a melodrama involving in-volving several villains in attempts to keep Lilly from the future which she rightly deserves. The three plays are performed per-formed in rotation each Wednesday through Saturday during the six-week six-week season.
