Show Former locals graduate at BYU PROVO-Four former Iron County residents were recently numbered among the 2,662 graduates at Hrigham Young University. The students are Todd G. Spencer, Cedar City, bachelor'sdegree; Robert Earl Zundel, Cedar City, bachelor's degree; Thomas Ormont G u r r , I' a r o w a n , bachelor's degree; and Jon David Robinson, Fa rowan, bachelor's degree. The n u m b e r graduating plus the 1,206 who received degrees in December totals 3,94 - the highest number ever graduating at BYU. BYU is operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is the largest private and church-related university in the United States in terms of full-time enrollments. It has more than 26,000 students, representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia and 82 foreign countries. Speaker at the Commencement Com-mencement services was Rex E. Lee, solicitor general of the United States and former dean of the Clark Law School at BYU. |
