Show Bryce Park visits down Guided horseback trips into the canyon are not in operation daily. Benton 'recommended that visitors stop at the park Visitors Center, open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for complete information on park activities. BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK -Visits here were down 8 percent during April, according to park Superintendent Bob Benton. The park recorded 39,662 visits for the month. Benton attributed the decline in visits to poor weather conditions. Benton noted that the wet, cold weather also caused a 41 percent decrease in the number of campers using park campgrounds. The park lodge, operated by TWA Services, Ser-vices, will open May 21. |
