Show SU communication awards announced CEDAR CITY ' Recipients of over $2,500 in departmental scholarships and awards have been announced by Frain G. Pearson, chairman of the Southern Utah State College Department of Communication. Com-munication. Announcement of the 1982-83 awards was made at a recent communication com-munication department open house. Recipients of academic scholarships are freshmen fresh-men Mitch Dettamanti, Cedar City, and Julie McCrory, Barre, Vt.; and sophomores Mark Rowley and Scott Mathews, Cedar City. Also receiving academic scholarships are SUSC juniors Tony White, Beaver; Roger Cude, Pioche, Nev.; Curtis Christopherson, Fillmore; and Lara Matthews, Thatcher, Ariz. Activity awards in connection with KGSU-FM, KGSU-FM, SUSC's student operated radio station, have been awarded Dean O'Driscoll, a senior from Morgan; Deia Palmer, a junior from Lehi; and Ronald Stott, a senior from Bountiful. Newspaper activity awards for 1982-83 go to freshman Joni Boyack, Ephraim; sophomores David Coles, Cedar City, and Caridad Collins, Las Vegas; and seniors Debbie Evans, Sandy, and Kevin Cutler, Sunset, Davis County. |
