Show Notice Of Gas And Oil Mining Lease Sale UNDER SEALED BID, 2:00 P. M.. JANUARY 25, 1952 Sealed bids will be received at the Uintah and Ouray Agency, Agen-cy, Fort Duchesne, Utah, until 2:00 p. m., January 25, 1952. for oil and gas leases on the following described Indian lands owned by the Ute Tribe, located on the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation, Reser-vation, in Duchesne County, State of Utah, all of which lands, as hereafter described are within the Uintah Special Base and Meridian Survey, and contain 1,902.89 acres, more or less, to-wit; Township 4 South, Range 2 West Unit Description Sec Acreage. 1 NW " 16 Ni2 and NW SW and NV2 SE 17 EV2 SE 18 680 2 E12 SE 19 EV2NE and Lot 6 (in NE SE) 30 182.77 3 NV2 NW and SV2 Ny2 and SV2 SVi and NVz SE . 21 SVS ,22 WM: SW 23 Lot 4 26 Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 '27 Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 28 1,040.12 Each unit is offered for separate sep-arate lease, for a cash bonus in addition to the stipulated royalties royal-ties and rental of $1.25 per acre per annum. The successful and responsible bidders for any lease will be required to pay in advance ad-vance an annual rental of $1.25 per acre, the cost of advertising and a filing fee of $5.00 for each lease contract consummated. consummat-ed. Conditional or alternate bids will not be accepted and r.o drilling propositions will be considered as a part of the bonus bon-us offer. A deposit of 20 per cent of the bonus bid and 20 per cent of the advance rental for the first year must accompany the bid and be in the form of a certified cer-tified check or bank draft drawn on, a solvent bank, payable to the Treasurer of the United States. The sale will be held and the leases executed in accordance with the Act of May 11. 1938 (52 Stat. 347) and Title 25, C. F.R., Part 186, as amended or supplemented. Lease Form 5-157 will be used. Failure of the successful bidder bid-der to comply with the terms of the sale and the regulations, will render his deposit liable to forfeiture for-feiture in the discretion of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs, j Leases filed after 20 days from date of mailing to lessee for execution exe-cution will be subject to revai- uation of bonus, if permission is not granted for an extension of time. Sales will be cancelled and deposits forfeited at the expiration ex-piration of the 20-day filing period, per-iod, unless for good and sufficient suf-ficient reason, an extension of the filing period is granted. Bids received will be referred I to the Uintah and Ouray Tribal Business Committee for their recommendation as to' acceptance accept-ance or rejection before such bids are referred to the Commissioner Com-missioner of Indian Affairs for final action. The right is reserved re-served by the Commissioner to reject any or all bids and to disapprove dis-approve any lease made on an accepted bid. Should any bid be rejected after a deposit is made, through no fault of the bidder, all moneys deposited shall be returned. The lessee must furnish a satisfactory sat-isfactory surety bond as required requir-ed by the regulations. All bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope, "Bid on Oil and Gas Lease, Tribal Tri-bal Indian lands, not to be opened op-ened until 2:00 o'clock p. m.. Jan. 25, 1952." FORREST R. STONE.
