Show Services Held For J. Edgar Holder MT. EMMONS Funeral services ser-vices were held in the Mt. Emmons Em-mons Chapel. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Wednesday at 1 p. m. for James Edgar Holder, 61, who died Dec. 28 at 5:32 a. m. in the Roosevelt Hospital following an extended illness. A resident of Mt. Emmons since 1924, Mr. Holder was born Oct. 17, 1890 in Salem, Utah, the son of Joseph and Amy Ward Holder. He married Vera L. Gardner in Provo, Dec. 14, 1916. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake L D S Temple. The two moved to Myton the following summer, where Mr. Holder engaged in the bee industry. in-dustry. He followed this occupation occupa-tion after moving to Mt. Emmons, Em-mons, until poor health forced him to sell his business. In spite of poor health, . Mr. Holder held many positions in the church and community. He was a member of the Duchesne County , Board of Education at the time' of his death, having served 14 years, part of which time he was president of the board. He was chairman of the AAA for 9 years and was the first manager of the Moon Lake Electric Association. He laid most of the ground work for this organization, spending months securing the necessary number of members to get the REA loan. In church capacity he had served as superintendent of the Sunday School in Myton and in-Mt. Emmons, as ward clerk and counselor in the bishopric in Mt. Emmons, and was a Seventy at the time of his death. Surviving are his widow; his mother, Salem; one son. Dee L. Holder, Salt Lake City; three daughters, Mrs. Garth (Jeane) Sargent, Hoystville, Summit County; Mrs. Harry (Beverly) Fieldstead, Boneta; Mrs. Varney (Betty) McLea, Roosevelt; seven grandsons; two brothers, Jack Holder, Provo; Hillary Holder, Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. Lopise Card, Salem; Mrs. De-vetta De-vetta Stewart, Provo. Burial was in the Mt. Emmons cemetery, under the direction of the Dillman Mortuary.. Evan Hansen returned from Salt Lake the first of the week. He had made the trip to visit with his father, C. A. Hansen, who is in very poor health. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle L. Young and sons, Perry, Carl and Lawrence, Law-rence, and the latter's wife, were dinner guests on Christmas Day of Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Nielsen. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie J. Orr, entertained at a family Christmas Christ-mas with all their children and grandchildren home for the event. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Case and son, of Bountiful; Mr. and Mrs. Karl Allen and two sons,1 of Vernal; - Mr. and Mrs. Pete Nielsen and son. and Richard Orr. of Salt Lake City. Dinner guests on Christmas Day at the Floyd Case home were Mr. and Mrs. Leslie N. Pearson and daughters. Kath-. Kath-. leen and Margery, Boneta; Marion Mar-ion Brown, Koosharem; and Mrs Mary A.
