Show Notice Off Gas And Oil Seining Lease Sale UNDER SEALED BID. 2 P. M. JANUARY 18, 1952 Sealed bids will be received at the Uintah and Ouray Agency, Ag-ency, Fort Duchesne, Utah until 2:00 P. M., January 18 1952, for Oil and Gas mining leases on the following described Indian lands, located within the jurisdiction of the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation, in Duchesne and Wasatch Counties, State of Utah, all of which lands, as hereafter described, are within the Uintah Special Base and Meridian Survey, to wit: ALLOTTED Unit No. Description Sec. Total 80 acres allotted and 5,025.33 acres tribal. Each unit is offered for separate sep-arate lease, for a cash bonus in addition to the stipulated royalties royal-ties and rental of $1.25 per acre per annum. The successful and responsible bidders for any lease will be required to pay in advance ad-vance an annual rental of $1.25 per acre, the cost of advertising and a filing fee of $5.00 for each lease contract consummated. Conditional or alternate bids will not be accepted and no drilling propositions will be considered con-sidered as a part of the bonus offer. A deposit of 20 per cent of the bonus bid and 20 per cent of the advance rental for the first year must accompany the bid and be in the form of a certified cer-tified check or bank: draft drawn on a solvent bank, payable to the Treasurer of the United States. The sale will be held and the lease executed in accordance with the Act of March 3, 1909 (35 Stat. 781, 783), the Act of May 11, 1938 (52 Stat. 347) and Title 25, C. F. R., Part 189, as amended or supplemented, as to allotted lands and Part 186, as amended or supplemented, supplement-ed, as to tribal lands. Lease form 5-154h will be used for the allotted lease and form 5-157 5-157 will be used for the tribal lease contracts. Failure of the successful bidder bid-der to comply with the terms of the sale and the regulations, will render his deposit laible to forfeiture for-feiture in the discretion of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs. Leases on Tribal lands filed after af-ter 20 days from date of mailing to lessee for execution will be subject to revaluation of bonus, if permission is not granted' for an extension of time. Sales will be cancelled and deposits forfeited for-feited at the expiration of the 20-day filing period unless for good and sufficient reason, an extension of the filing period is granted. The successful bidder on the allotted lands will be required to prepare his own lease and secure the signatures of all Indian owners. The lease must.be completed and returned, return-ed, together with all supporting papers, within 30 days from date of award, together with the balance bal-ance of the bonus and rental payments and the $5.00 leas-i fee. An additional period of time will be granted for good and sufficient reason upon request made prior to the expiration of the original 30-day period. Tne Superintendent reserves the right, as a condition precedent to the granting of any extended period of time for filing a lease, to require the deposit of any remaining re-maining sums due and owing on the lease, including the balance of the bonus bid and the firsx year's rental. - i Bids received on tribal lands will be referred to the Uintah and Ouray Tribal Business Committee Com-mittee for their recommendation recommenda-tion as to acceptance or rejection rejec-tion before such bids are re-f re-f ered to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs for final action. The unit of allotted land is offered of-fered subject to the execution of- the lease by the adult individual indi-vidual Indian owners. The right is reserved by the Commissioner 1 to reject any or all bids and to disapprove any lease made on an accepted bid. Should any bid be rejected after a deposit is made, through no fault of the bidder, all moneys deposited shall be returned. The iessee must furnish a satisfactory surety bond as required re-quired by the regulations. All bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope, "Bid on Oil and Gas Lease, Allotted Al-lotted and Tribal Indian lands, not to be opened until 2:00 o'clock P. M., January 18, 1952. FORREST R.
