Show Floyd Peterson Installed President Of Roosevelt Kiwaais Club; Burgess, Robinson Are Vice-Presidents Floyd R. Petrson, Royal Baking Bak-ing Co. distributor for the Uintah Uin-tah Basin, last night was officially official-ly installed as president of the Roosevelt Kiwanis Club succed-ing succed-ing J D. Walker, who has served since the club was cnar-tered cnar-tered in June, 1950. Kwamans and their wives met at the i ron Uer Grill for their installation ceremony in the form of a dinner din-ner meeting. Mr. Peterson is the retiring vice-president. Inducted to assist Mr Peterson Peter-son in directing the affairs of the club during the ensuing year were Bert Burgess and Wilford Robinson, 1st and 2nd vice-presidents, respectively; Cliff Mem-mott, Mem-mott, secretary and Parley Raw-lings, Raw-lings, treasurer. Directors who were inducted include: Grant Killian, Don Nielson, Bert Gardner, Gard-ner, Howard Harmston. Can Harrison, Ted Harmston and John- Zimmerman. The latter two are hold-over directors. Mr Walker becomes a director of the club for 1952. Retiring directors di-rectors are Dale Ashby. Grant Killian, Presley Timothy. Wilford Wil-ford Robinson and Elmer Eld-redge. Eld-redge. Mr. Killian was reelected. The new officers were installed install-ed by Cliff Memmott. a past lieutenant governor ox Idaho district, who substituted for Warwick C. Lamoreaux, of Salt Lake City, present Lt. Goy. of Division 2, who was unable to make the trip here due to the weather conditions. In addition to the remarks made by the installing officer, a report on the 1951 activities Ox the club were reviewed by the retiring president, and the new president pointed the way for 1952. Two vocal solos were sung by Miss Esther Wogec, accompanied accom-panied by Clyde Johnson; Mrs. Bert Gardner presented a humorous hum-orous reading and group singing was directed by Mr. and Mrs. David Watkins. Fred C. Ferron presided over the meeting as toastmaster and Mr. Walker presented pre-sented a "17-year perfect attendance atten-dance tab to Cliff Memmott, and 1-year tabs to Dr. J. P. Alsberg and Wilford Robinson. Guests in addition to Miss Wogec Wo-gec and Mr. Johnson included, President and Mrs. Wayne Marrs, and Secretary and Mrs. Frank Couture, of the Vernal Club, and Mr. and Mrs. Theron Leavitt, of Roosevelt. Dr. and Mrs. Alsberg were presented gifts in appreciation for their services as members of Kiwanis and Kiwani-Anns. They leave this week for Arizona to make their home. |
