Show This Week's RECIPE . . . RECIPE For an extra special carrot pudding, you will be delighted with the following recipe,, which is especially good for the holiday holi-day season. Carrol Pudding Vz cup shortening 1V4 cups sugar Cream together and then add: 1 cup grated carrots 1 cup grated potato, -and blend. Sift together the following and add to creamed mixture: IV4 cups flour 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. nutmeg V2 tsp. cloves Yz tsp. allspice 1 tsp. salt Then add the following: 1 cup raisins 1 cup dates, chopped 1 cup nuts, chopped 1 pkg. fruit mix 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1 tsp. lemon 1 Make recipe 4 times for 7 I quarts. Fill quart fruit bottles I full and steam in pressur..; cooker 15 minutes with petcock open, and then 30 minutes at 10 lbs pressure. Or steam in ordinary or-dinary way for 3 hours, or until done. |
