Show LUELLA JANE AMES Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Wednesday in the Ioka Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, for Mrs. Luella Jane Ames, 51, who died in the Roosevelt hospital at 11 a. m., Saturday, following a lingering lin-gering illness. Services were, held at 1 p. m. and were under the direction of -Bishop James Lemon. Burial was in the Roosevelt Cemetery under the direction of the Dillman Mortuary of Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. She was born Nov. 9, 1900, in Lyman, Wayne County, a daughter of Daniel and Elvina Sly Cook. On Feb. 19. 1918, she was married to James O. Ames in Lyman. The family moved to the Uintah Basin in 1924, where they lived on a cattle ranch. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Latter-Day Saints. She is survived by six sons: Verne Ames, Upalco; Wayne, Eddie, Don, George and Bert Ames, all of Ioka; four daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Reita Workman. Green River, Wyoming; Mrs. Kay Nye-berg, Nye-berg, Altonah; Miss Eva Ames, Ioka; 13 grandchildren, five brothers: Marion Cook, Tooele; Clarence Cook, Richfield; LaVar and Melvin Cook, Torrey, Wayne County; Leland Cook, Blackfoot, Ida.; three sisters: Mrs. Thelma Neilson, Mrs. Nelda MacKenzie, and Mrs. Eldona Powell.
