Show MARY A. L. VALARIDA Funeral services were j;onduct-eded j;onduct-eded at 11 a. m. Tuesday morn-iiio morn-iiio in the Kooaeveu i-i.L.S. cna-pel cna-pel by jJiiiup H. V. Larson o the Roosevelt Ward, for Mrs. Mary Ann. Lans Valarida, 81, who died Saturday, Nov. 10, at 12:15 a. m. in the Roosevelt hospital, of causes incident to age. She was born in St. George, Dec. 2, 1869, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Stansfield Lang. She was married to Arba N. Valarida, Jan. 27, 1891, in the St. Geoiie temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints. At the age of 2 -years, she moved with her family to' Beaver, Bea-ver, where she resided about 40 years, coming to the Uintah Basin Ba-sin in, September, 1910. Mr. and Mrs. Valarida settled in Arcadia, Arca-dia, and in 1923 they moved to Rolapp, Carbon County, where they lived until Mr. Valarida's death in 1926, when Mrs. Valarida Val-arida moved to American Fork. She moved to Roosevelt in 1947 and has resided hera since with the exception of one year in California. She was a member of the L D S Church and had served as first, counselor in the Arcadia Relief Society. She is survived by one son, Marion L. Valarida, Boring, Oregon; Or-egon; four daughters, Mrs. Mar-calena Mar-calena Robison, Holtville. Cal.; Mrs. Emily N. Pulos, Roosevelt; Mrs. Mary E. Risg, San Diego, California; and Mrs. Effie M. Smith, San Jacinto, California: 17 grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; one brother, Herbert Her-bert Lang, Utahan; and one sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Effie Thompson, Duchesne. Du-chesne. Burial was in the American Fork cemetery, under the direction direc-tion of the Olpin Mortuary of Roosevelt. |
