Show I Children Must Write Santa Claus At Once To Receive Reply From North Pole With Santa Claus due to leave the North Pole country' in about two weeks time, it is now abso- i lutoly necessary that all children mail their letters to him immediately im-mediately if they wish an answer. If they are posted in the St. George office, addressed correctly to the North Pole, and have the necessary one cent attached, there is still time says Santa, for him to answer before the great day arrives. Last year hundreds of Christmas Christ-mas cards received at this office had to be discarded because the people to whom they were addressed ad-dressed were not here. People should bear in mind that card-with card-with only 1'2 cents attached are third class mail and can not be returned or forwarded without additional postage. If you want to know that your card will be forwarded for-warded or returned if undelivered at the office of address, attach a three cent stamp and your re-: re-: turn address. It will then be forwarded for-warded immediately or returned to sender if a forwarding ordei is not on file. (Continued on page four) Letters To Santa (Continued from first page) Did you know that parcels on which Special Handling or Special Delivery stamps were attached receive the same treatment as first class mail? Such parcels are sent straight .through to their destinations, while other parcel post matter may be delayed for days. Special handling stamps also insure special treatment, while special delivery stamps insure immediate im-mediate delivery on arrival. Our instructions from the department de-partment are not to hand out mail through the window for box renters if keys are available for such boxes. Nevertheless, time permitting, we are glad to accomodate ac-comodate people who occasionally lose, mislay, or forget keys. However How-ever there are some people, especially school children, who are making a habit of calling at the window for mail from post office boxes. Even if this were not against department rulings, the rush now beginning would make complying with such requests very difficult, if not impossible. The post office department believes that a hearty cooperation coopera-tion from the townspeople in regards re-gards to the above, will result in a better postal service to everyone, every-one, and therefore a happier holiday holi-day season.
