Show Nevada To Join Enterprise Road At Line Soon Nevada Group Presents Need For Road To Highway Commission Promise of a connecting road "comparable" to the one completed com-pleted on the Utah side by the Washington county commissioners and Enterprise citizens, was made recently by the Lincoln county commissioners following a meeting meet-ing which they and other leaders of that section held with the Nevada highway commission. This road is to be built on a survey to be run by the Nevada highway commission which is to be run in the next two or three weeks. While the group that met with the commission say they were unable to get a definite promise that this route would be the one that the state would okeh, it was felt that if the survey sur-vey showed that the road was feasible both as to construction and cost, it would be the one adopted, it was also generally agreed that the Nevada commission commis-sion would "go along with Utah in reaching an agreement". Those meeting with the highway high-way commission included Judge N. Noriss, editor of the Pioche Record; Phil Dolan, editor of the Caliente Herald; Less Denton, Caliente postmaster; Dan Donnow and Senator James Wadsworth of Panaca; the three Lincoln county commissioners, and W. L. Getker of Crestline, Nevada, j In speaking of the meeting Mr. j Getker says: "I am very pleased with the results obtained as I have no fear but that the survey will speak for itself". This information was contained in a letter addressed to Lawrence Wadsworth, president of the St. George Chamber of Commerce, and Newell R. Frei, chairman of the county commissioners. Mr. Frei is the commissioner from the west end of the county. |
