Show Funeral Services Held In South Ward Chapel For Hela Seegmiller Funeral services were held in the south ward chapel at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1, for Hela Seegmiller, Seeg-miller, who died Wednesday of injuries received in a horse and car accident on the Rio Virgin bridge November 24. Services were conducted by Bp. A. K. Hafen. The musical numbers num-bers included a vocal duet, "Prayer Perfect" by Melba Baker and Alice Cannon; violin solo, "Ave Maria". Irene Everett; duet, "Come Unto Me" Mrs. Mamie Paxman . and Mrs. Viola Gentry; organ solo, Mrs. Mae A. Pace, and vocal quartette, "Through Deepening Trials", Mrs. Alice Cannon, Mrs. Melba Baker, William Wil-liam Whitehead and Herman Larkin. Lar-kin. Speakers were Bp. Arthur Cot-tarn, Cot-tarn, John T. Woodbury, Dr. W. J. Reichmann, Phillip Foremaster and Bp. A. K. Hafen. All testified to the honesty and integrity of Hela Seegmiller, telling of his work as a pioneer son in the cattle cat-tle industry of this section, of his great love for little children, and (Continued on page eight) Hela Seegmiller (Continued from first page) his kindness to his fellow men. A tribute in verse was read by Mabel Jarvis. Prayers were by Pres. W. W. McArthur, and James McArthur. Pal bearers were five nephews. Franklin Seegmiller, Howard Ahl-strom, Ahl-strom, Woodrow Seegmiller, Jay Seegmiller, Bill Seegmiller and a cousin, Gerald Seegmiller. The chapel, assembly hall and recreation hall were crowded with relatives and friends, and there were many floral offerings. Burial was in the St. George city cemetery with- Walter C. Pace dedicating the grave. |
