Show Appointed . . . "I Wilford M. Manwaring Wilford Manwaring Is Appointed Ass't Postmaster Wilford M. Manwaring has been appointed assistant postmaster of the Springville City Postoffice effective ef-fective August 1, it was announced this week. He succeeds Wallace Patrick, who resigned several weeks ago to enroll in school in Indiana. Wilford has been employed in the postoffice since March 1, 1942 when he went in as a sub-clerk carrier. On October 1, 1948, he was employed as a regular clerk. He received his education at the Brigham Young University and University of Utah. Active in civic and church work, he served some time in the First ward bishopric; bish-opric; has also served on a mission mis-sion and as MIA president in the First ward and at present is a scout commissioner. He is a mem-I mem-I ber of the local Lions club. ' Other recent changes in the post office, at which eleven men are employed is the transference of Eldon Palfreyman from carrier, into the postoffice.. Another appointment is expected expec-ted to be made at the office as soon as results of a recent clerk-carrier clerk-carrier civil service examination are learned. |
