Show "Hobo Party" Enjoyed By Stake MiaMaids In a jungle seting of high shrubs and bon-fires, the Mia Maids of Kolob stake were entertained enter-tained at a "Hobo Party" in the back yard at the home of stake leader, Mrs. Merell Young, Tuesday Tues-day evening. Approximately a hundred girls and leaders , attended the unique party. Each group brought their own stew and was all dumped together to-gether into a huge big kettle which hung over a bon-fire and the entire group was served "mulligan stew and punch" in tin cans. Games were played around the bon-fire and the girls and their leaders spent an especially enjoyable enjoy-able evening. The prize for the best "Hobo Costume" went to LaRae Phillips, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Phillips. Other prizes were awarded award-ed to Mrs. A. L. Lessard, Mrs. Ann Johnson, Dixie Robinson, De-lora De-lora Bertelsen. Class leaders from the various wards attended as well as stake officers, Rea .Straw, Melva Smith, Bertha Johnson, Pat Whiting, Genevieve Winger and Mrs. Young. |
