Mr. and Mrs. John D. Boyd, nee Shirley Hansen Couple Leave to Reside in Idaho, Following Wedding and Reception In an impressive home ceremony, charming Miss Shirley Shir-ley Hansen, daughter of Mr. anod Mrs. Lester A. Hansen of Mapleton became the bride of John D. Bovd. son of Mr. moon, the couple plan to make their home in Soda Springs, Ida., where he is employed on construction construc-tion work. A number of parties in addition to their reception, have honored the couple including a shower for the bride, given by Mrs. John Whiteley on Thursday evening of last week at which about 25 guests were entertained. and Mrs. Emmett L. Boyd of Pro-vo. Pro-vo. The marriage was performed by Bishop Welby Warren of the Mapleton ward in the presence of close relatives and- friends, at the home of the bride's parents, Saturday Sat-urday evening. Following the wedding ceremony, cere-mony, the newlyweds greeted their guests m the yard of the Hansen home, which was gayly lighted for the occasion, and pretty with shrubs and flowers. The bride chose for her wedding wed-ding attire a beautiful ice-blue afternoon af-ternoon gown of lace, strapless with bolero jacket. She wore a corsage of roses and gardenias. Attending as matron of honor was Mrs. Fred J. Morris with Betty Lou Boyd, Connie Warren, Maxine Warren, Mrs. John White-ley White-ley and Mary Lois Reichert as bridesmaids. They were all attired at-tired in street length summer gowns with corsages. Mothers of the bride and groom wore afternoon after-noon dresses and gardenia corsages. cor-sages. Fred J. Morris was best man. The guests were served at small tables on the spacious lawn, by friends of the newlyweds, Kath-erine Kath-erine Ann Holley, Rosalie Hall, Arlene Hall, RaVae Allan, Audrey Davies, Glenna Warren and Maxine Max-ine Reihert. A lovely trousseau was exhibited exhibit-ed indoors and the gifts were also arranged in the home by Miss Mary Ann Hansen, Mrs. Mabel Warren, Mrs. Pearl Holley, Mrs. Jean Hall and Mrs. LaRie Warren assisted by little Patricia and Susan Su-san Hall and Evelyn Warren. The bride is a graduate of the Springville high school and seminary semin-ary and attended the Brigham Young University. She has been employed for some time in Provo. Mr. Boyd graduated from East high school in Salt Lake City and served during the World War II in the Merchant Marines. Following a few days honey- |
