Show 200 Parents, Girls Participate in "Builders' Holiday" More than 200 parents and girls attended the first annual Home-Builders Home-Builders Holiday held Thursday evening at Kelly's Grove, Hobble Creek canyon. Officers in charge of the event said it was especially espec-ially successful with everyone seemingly enjoying themselves. While the crowd assembled, games were played and the group participated in community singing. sing-ing. Melvin Duke opened the entertainment en-tertainment with prayer. After a nose-bag lunch which approximately 200 enjoyed, the remainder of the evening was spent with a program and games around the fire-place. Mrs. Marie Morgan told the story, "The Wedding Wed-ding Shoes" and community songs were sung as well as taps. The closing prayer was by Mrs. Lena Bartholomew. |
