Show Mrs. Lottie Gammell Celebrates Her 89th Birthday, Sun. at Family Outing heim, Calif.; Mrs. Martha Criff of Walnut Creek, Calif.; Mrs. Josephine Jose-phine Kelly, American Fork; Mrs. Kate Hoiley, Springville; Ray Gammell, Copperton; Lew Gammell, Gam-mell, Las Vegas, Nev.; also 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She laso has a half-brother, Frank Alexander of Calif. Returns Home . . . At a family reunion and outing Sunday at Saratoga, the eighty-ninth eighty-ninth birthday of Mrs. Lottie Gammell, Gam-mell, well-known long-time resident resi-dent of Springville was celebrated. Although Mrs. Gammell has not been feeling well for the past few days, she was the center of attraction attrac-tion and in her usual congenial manner greeted her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with her familiar smile. The clay was spent visiting, swimming and with a nicely arranged ar-ranged birthday dinner. ' Mrs. Gammell has spent practically prac-tically her entire life in Springville, Spring-ville, being born here August 11, 1862, a daughter of early settlers Horace and Marcha Alexander. At her advanced age, she takes care of her home and yard and tends to her flowers. At most any hour of the day, one may find her neat and prime, dressed in her most maticulous manner, ready to entertain en-tertain her callers. She has a most independent disposition and likes to do everything for herself. Her husband Frank Gammell, has been dead for 41 years. She has six sons and daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Hapgood of Ana- ' ' '' 1 i i t , I ! Ronald J. Allan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Allan of Brook-side, Brook-side, will return this week from the British LDS Mission and 1 will speak at a welcome home ! program in the Sixth ward Sunday evening, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Elder, Allan has served two years in the mission field and has some varied and interesting experiences which he will tell in addition to reporting on his mission work Sunday evening. |
