Best man was Mike Metherall and the ushering was done by brothers of the bridegroom, Tab, Kim, Tyson, Khondo and Andelo Nielson. Robbie Stevens, the bride's brother and friends, Tom Torres, Matias Quintinalla and Michael Gale also helped with the ushering. Presiding at the guest book was the bride's cousin Mrs. Shari Adams. The bride's mother wore a floor-length pink skirt with a burgandy long-sleeved blouse. Mrs. Nielson wore a vibrant pink evening pantsuit. Both ensembles en-sembles were accented with corsages of burgandy and pink roses with white carnations. Highlighting the decoration for the reception was a pink and white Christmas Tree covered with satin balls, white rice lights and pink roses. The tables were decorated with pine boughs, pink ribbons and brandy snifters filled with pink popcorn. The beautiful centerpiece consisted of pink and white carnations accented by pink candles in silver can-dleholders. can-dleholders. The bride wore a pantsuit of pink and white accented by pink satin cuffs on the shirt as the newlyweds left for their Las Vegas honeymoon. They are now residing at 191 S. 100 E. MK. AM) MHS. JIWKKV .MICIIAKI. NIKI.SON Miss Patricia Stevens became the bride of Jeffrey Michael Nielson December 28. The double ring ceremony took place in the First Ward Church with Bishop Neal Christensen officiating. Parents of the young Cedar City couple are Mr. and Mrs. Jack H. Stevens and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Nielson. Special services before the ceremony consisted of a prayer by the bride's grandfather, Ivan S. Robb; a vocal solo, "Sunrise, Sunset", sung by Christine Winterrose who was accompanied ac-companied by Janet Knell; a piano solo, "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", by Sally Hunter; and the wedding march played on the pano by an aunt, Melva Barton. Following the ceremony a buffet dinner was served to approximately 150 guests before attending the reception. The bride wore an old-fashioned old-fashioned style dress with flowing train trimmed with Venetian lace. The finger-tip veil was held with a headpiece of organdy roses trimmed with lace. She carried a bouquet of red roses, baby breath and pine. Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Jillynn Gale. The bridesmaids were Misses Sydnee Stevens, Abby Jeanne Stevens, and Angela Nielson. Two of the attendants at-tendants wore floor length dresses of burgandy and two wore floral print dresses with insets of eyelet embroidery. All The bride is attending Cedar High School where she is a member of the Mohey Tawa Marching Group. She was previously a member of the Abitas Marching group. The bridegroom is a graduate of Cedar High and is now employed em-ployed at Cedar City Products. Pre-nuptial courtesies include a shower given by aunts of the bride; Teresa Mason, Jackie Benson, Penny Ward, Ginger Hulet, and Dayle Esplin. A misc. shower was given at the Doug Knell home by Leilani Knell and Paula Dennett. |
