Legion provides Anniversary honor guard PAROWAN - American Legion Post No. 20 participated in the Parowan Pioneer Day with a march with the Legion and American Flag. The color guard accompanied by a fife and drum core went from the Parowan City offices to the high school where they posted the colors to begin the pioneer day program. The Legion is planning to post the colors in the manner for all important community functions in the future. Participating in the color guard were post commander Art Walunas, llermen Adams, Mayor Kendall Gurr, principal Richard Dotson, Clarence Benson Sr. and Howard Knight. The drum and fife core were Gary Jenson PUS music teacher with students Carlyle Potter and Jerri Jerome. American Legion members and prospective members are urged to attend regular meetings held in the Legion hall every third Wed. in the month. January meeting will be held in the evening of the 22nd. |
