Red Cross Gets Thanks For Knitted Items Utah county chapter of American Ameri-can Red Cross has received a commendation from field director direc-tor at U. S. Naval hospital, Mare Island, Vallejo, Cal., for the knitted knit-ted wearing apparel sent through the chapter. The letter acknowledges receipt of 24 navy sweaters and two army sweaters which arrived from the chapter the first part of april. "As you know," the letter said, "the majority of the patients are Korean Ko-rean evacuees and they, as well as other servicemen, are extremely grateful for your interest and thoughtfulness."
