Show cordially treated by every group. Our last stop was at Liberty Park. You know what: Merry-go-round, ferris wheel, pop and popcorn. pop-corn. This was a school day to never be forgotten. RALPH ROSTRON, (Reporter) -Grant Sixth Has Big Day in Salt Lake City The Sixth grade of the Grant school left the four walls of learning learn-ing and took an enjoyable and educational trip to Salt Lake City last Friday. The group was composed of A. L. Erickson, Mrs. Carl Gustavson, president of Grant P.T.A., Mrs. Clarence Erdman, home room mother; also Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Sanford and Mrs. Howard. The bus left the school at 7:30 a.m., and drove to the Hi-Land Dairy on 700 Vine St., Murray. It was an interesting story to follow the milk from the time it is emptied, weighed, pasteurized, classified and homogenized to the filling of the cartons. From there we went to Hotel Utah Roof Garden, then across Main street to the museum. We were especially interested in the mummies. A real treat came during the noon hour to hear the great tabernacle tab-ernacle organ played by Frank W. Asper. After eating lunch we motored up to the Capitol building. We were cordially taken all over the Capitol by Mr. Gardner, a former teacher of Mr. Erickson, We were especially -interested in the gold room. We were told the captiol building was started April 18, 1913 and the date of completion was July 3, 1915. The cost was ?2,-739,528. ?2,-739,528. Our next stop was at the Salt Lake Tribune and Telegram plant. This truly was a real experience to see the making of a newspaper from start 'to finish. We were |
