Show Lincoln School Plans Annual Song Festival V Parents and students alike are looking forward to the second annual an-nual Song Festival to be given by boys and girls of the Lincoln school next Wednesday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m., in the high school gymnasium. Title of the musical entertainment entertain-ment this year, will be, "One World Through Music," and it will include a summary of the children's music studies during the year. Much credit is due the students of the school and the faculty members mem-bers for the special efforts put forth in the production of the song festival, which will include Hawaiian, English, Scottish, Irish French, Mexican, Swiss, Spanish, Italian, German, Finnish and Russian. Rus-sian. Some songs will be sung in German and French. Approximately 227 pupils of the school will take part in the evening's eve-ning's program. Nina Madsen and Eva Lou Burrows are the readers and Laurel Humphrey will give a poem. Script for the festival has been compiled by the school faculty, who have also worked on special practices for several weeks. Frank Patten, school principal, will direct the entertainment and will be assisted by Arvin Spring-thorpe, Spring-thorpe, trainer - teacher from the BYU, accompanist and other Lincoln Lin-coln faculty members including, Arden. Hill, Reed Francis, Hannah Rowland, Hannah Baker, and Dorothy Dor-othy Harmer. Kay Christensen of the Sixth grade will also be assistant assis-tant accompanist. |
