Show the poem ' entered, and the first line of the poem submitted. All this information must be in a sealed blank envelope. Any entry not -conforming to the above rules will be eliminated. Poetry Society To Hold Contest Open to Public The Art Barn poets are sponsoring sponsor-ing a poetry contest through Utah Poetry Society of Utah, which is open to anyone in the state, who can comply with the rules and regulations of the event. Rules and details of the contest are as follows: This contest is open, without charge, to anyone living in the state of Utah, who has never had a poem accepted for publication. There are no stipulations as to age of the writer, subject to be treated, or type of poem to be entered. Only one entry per person is allowed. Three original copies of the poem must be entered. Only one cash prize per person is permitted. No poem must exceed 32 lines. Poems must be written on regulation reg-ulation size paper, 8xll inches. Spacing is optional; to single-space single-space a poem may add to its pattern pat-tern picture. No mark of identification must appear on the poem itself. Typewritten manuscripts are preferred. However, long-hand legibly leg-ibly written in ink is acceptable. Each contestant is required to include in a sealed blank envelope the following items: a stamped addressed ad-dressed envelope and a card on which are stated the name and address of the author, the title of |
