Show Mrs. A. Christensen Celebrated 91st Birthday at Dinner Mrs. Annie Christensen celebrated celebra-ted her ninety-first bicthday Sunday Sun-day with a family dinner at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Mellor in this city. Mrs. Christensen was born in Denmark April 26, 1860, a daughter daugh-ter of Hans and Maline Nielson Christiansen. She came to Utah with her parents at the age of nine. She was married to N. P. Christensen Chris-tensen Jan. 24, 1882 and lived at Richfield until 1884. They moved to Annabella where they had a farm and dairy. Mr. Christensen died in Sept. 1935. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mrs. Christensen served as Relief Society visiting teacher for for than 40 years. Mrs. Christensen has resided with her sons and daughter for the last ten years. She enjoys good health, is alert, has a good memory, and likes to visit and talk over old times with friends and relatives. She also likes to keep up on world affairs by listening lis-tening to her radio. Living children are Mrs. Mellor, Mel-lor, Mrs. Eldred Nilson, Monroe, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Maud Christensen, Annabella; there are 14 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. She also has a sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Stena Jensen and a brother bro-ther James Christiansen. |
