They must have no children child-ren under 18 and must not be married mar-ried to a Marine. Women desiring to enlist should be prepared to submit birth or baptismal certificates or birth affidavits, af-fidavits, a transcript of their educational edu-cational record, a record of occupations occu-pations since leaving school and three letters of reference. Enlisted personnel will be sent to Hunter College, New York City, for a six-week indoctrination course before going to a duty station sta-tion or given further specialized training. Officer candidates will be assigned as-signed to an eight-week indoctrination indoctri-nation course at Smith or Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts before ordered to a technical school or duty post. An opportunity to "Be a Marine and free a Marine to fight" will be afforded Utah women of this area Monday, April 5, when applicants for enlistment in the U. S. Marine Corps Women's Reserve will be interviewed by Captain Douglas G. Montell, USMCR, and First Lieutenant Lieu-tenant Lily Hutcheon, USMCWR. Both officers, attached to the San Francisco Marine Corps Officer Offi-cer Procurement office, will be at Brigham Young University in Pro-vo Pro-vo between 9:00 a. m. and 6:00 p. m. Lieutenant Hutcheon, one of the first Marine Women's Reserve officers of-ficers on duty in the West, and Captain Montell will interview, give aptitude tests and assist applicants ap-plicants in securing information necessary for enlistment. Physical examinations will be given later in Salt Lake City. One thousand officers and 18,-000 18,-000 enlisted women are being recruited re-cruited for duties varying from clerical work to aviation storekeepers store-keepers and from hairdressers to radio operators and repair-women. Thirty-six classifications are open. Applicants for enlisted personnel person-nel must be between 20 and 36 years of age and have a minimum of two years of high school or business bus-iness school. Women from 20 to 50, with a college degree or two years of college col-lege and two years of businses experience, ex-perience, plus specialized qualifications, qualifi-cations, for officer training.
