Show FUNERAL HELD MONDAY FOR FRED W. MASON Funeral services were conducted in the First ward chapel Monday afternoon for Frederick Wilford Mason, native of Springville, who died at a Provo hospital Thursday evening following a short illness of pneumonia. Burial was in the Evergreen Ev-ergreen cemetery. He was born in Springville April Ap-ril 25, 1860, a son of George and Mary Beard Mason. During his early life, he did railroad construction construc-tion work and later followed farming. farm-ing. He had been retired since 1930. He was active in church work and was a member of the Kolob stake high priests' quorum. He married Christine Swenson in the Salt Lake endowment house Feb. 21, 1884. Mrs. Mason died in November, No-vember, 1941. He is survived by three daugh. ters and a son, Ross Mason, and Mrs. Edith Clayton of Springville; Mrs. Hazel Kenner of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Freda Birch of Riverside, River-side, Calif.; also twenty grandchildren grandchil-dren and sixteen great grandchildren; grandchil-dren; a sister, Mrs. Rhoda Harris of Santa Barbara, Calif.
