Show Chamber Advertising Committee Gets Road Sign Okey The Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce in meeting meet-ing Wednesday evening approv-ed approv-ed the expenditure of funds to install road signs on highway 91 North and South of Cedar City to advertise the city. The advertising committee, composed of Ray Knell, chairman; chair-man; Haze Hunter, board member; mem-ber; Glen Yergensen, Richard Morris and Leo Cahoon, recommended recom-mended that the two signs be In. stalled and the Board gave its approval of the project. The signs, each 10 feet by 25 feet, painted in scotch-lite, will be placed on the highway about 70 miles North and South of the city. Cost for building, painting and setting each of the signs was set at approximately $800.00. The Board also approved Including the Installation of two more signs in 1958 to help advertise the city. Signs had previously been placed at Gravel Springs Junction Junc-tion on Highway 89, at the Bone Hollow road connection with Highway 89, and at the Junction Junc-tion with Highway 93 at Panaca, Nevada. |
