Show High School Class of '47 Holds First Reunion Members of the class of 1947 of the Cedar City High School met at a reunion in Cedar City Saturday, June 6 with approximately approxi-mately 35 graduates attending. The first reunion of the class, it was 10 years after the group left the alma mater. Alan Bauer, chairman for the reunion, and LaRee Sargent Schmutz, sectary, were in charge of the event. Some of the class members were in attendance from as far away as Phoenix, Ariz.; Idaho Falls, Idaho; Long Beach, Calif., and a number from Salt Lake City. A meeting of class members was held during the forenoon at which time each told of his or her activities for the past 10 years. Also a number of letters were received from members cf the class, who, because of distances, dis-tances, were unable to attend. Letters were received from Germany, Ger-many, England, the Eastern Unl-ted Unl-ted States and the Northwest. During the afternoon a picinlc was held at the Wood's Ranch Campg-rounds in Cedar Canyon which was attended by class membc rs and their families. Over 100 wore in attendance at this event. On the business agenda was the election of a committee to serve for the next reunion. The group decided to hold the event every five years. Named to the reunion commit, tee were Klien Rollo, chairman; Lowell Sherratt and Peggy Bui-loch Bui-loch Thorley, assistants. Jimmy Blederman Heyborne was named as secretary. |
