Show Ethel Beebe Died Sunday In California Word was received Sunday morning of the death of Mrs. Gladys Ralphs Morray Saturday night in California. Gladys was the daughter of Wm. and Bertha Jensen Ralphs and was born in Altonah about 44 years' ago. She went to New York City in 1936 and married John Morray 18 years ago. They have two children. She is survived by her husband and children of California, Mr. and Mrs, Wm. Ralphs of Lehi; the following brothers' and sisters, Dennie Ralphs and Mrs. Vendetta Clark, Altonah; Mrs. Twila Johnson, John-son, Mrs. Ruby Powell of Lehi; Harold Ralphs of Orem and Cecil Ralphs of Carbon County. Mr, and' Mrs. Dennie Ralphs and Mrs. Vendetta Clark left Sunday, Sun-day, Jan. 22nd for California to attend the funeral. Mr. and Mrs, Marian Berrett and family of Bluebell were visiting visit-ing in Altonal Sunday. Mr. and. Mrs. Harold Ralphs and family of Orem were visiting friends and relatives in AUcnah over the' weekend. Cleo Clark is employed part time at the REA office at Alta-mont. Alta-mont. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Young and baby of Rangely, Colo, spent the weekend at the home of Milton Anderson. Mrs. Young's two small sisters, Betty and Thressa Anderson, Ander-son, returned to Rangely with them Jan. 15th to make their home with them. Mrs. Opal Gomm, stake' Sunday School instructor of Mt. Emmons was a Sunday School visitor here. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Shiner and Sharma and Ray Fisher visited relatives in Salt Lake City over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jessen, daughter, daugh-ter, Bonnie, and granddaughter, Maxie Stevenson, made a trip to Salt Lake' over the weekend to visit Maxie's mother, Mrs. Minnie Lou Stevenson and where Lee received a medical checkup. Albert Clark and George Fisher, Jr. were also among the group of men who went to work on the regional reg-ional church welfare farm in Roosevelt. Richard (Dick) Miller was ordained or-dained a Priest and Dee Clark and Brent Fisher were ordained as Teachers in Priesthood meeting on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Carnes LaRose went to Vernal Sunday to take Aner Christensen. Weekend guests at the home of Mrs. Elva Snyder and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jacobson were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Snyder and family fam-ily of Springvill'e and Mr and Mrs. Albert J. Potts and daughters daugh-ters of Duchesne. Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Chatwin of Tabiona, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Ivie and daughters of Strawberry were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Albert Clark. Dale Peterson of Neola also visited vis-ited at the Clark home for a few days with his wife and baby who have been here with her parents. Richard Olsen, technician for the Department of Agriculture, was vaccinating calves for banks in Altonah, an. 23rd. Gerald Jacobson is quite sick with the mumps. Guests calling at the home of Gilbert Beebe Sunday were Max Gardner and' Mr. Ryma of Salt Lake City, Lynn Hansen and Mr. Nielsen of Altamont. Floyd Weeks left Monday for Los Angeles to find employment. Mrs. Ray Lambert and Bob All-red All-red of Salt Lake City spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Al'lred, Glen Mohlman of Mt. Emmons was a visitor at Sunday School and Sacrament meeting Sunday. A large crowd from Altonah attended the funeral of Mrs. Rhoda Louella Hartman in Mt, Emmons Friday, Jan. 20th. Mrs. ILez Ames was' a visitor at Sunday School and Sacrament meeting in Upalco, Sunday. Lester Maxfield went to Bluebell Blue-bell ward to Sacrament meeting Sunday afternoon. |
