Show Eighty Persons Attend Court Of Honor Jan. 11 Over 80 persons attended the' Moon Lake District Court of Honor Hon-or held Wednesday, Jan. 11. at the Mt. Emmons LDS chapel under the direction of Dale Cummings, District Advancement chairman. Explorer Post 2254 with Doyle Swallow as . post advisor, walked off with the advancement plaque which they will, keep until the Feb. 6 Court of Honor. It is to be given to the most active unit each month as determined' by the advancement contest, The Upalco Troop 258 was second; Bluebell, Troop 269 was third in this month's contest. Ten boys were presented Tenderfoot Ten-derfoot badges by Jesse Palm, District Camping & Activities chairman. They were: Glen R. Durfey, W. Grant Taylor, ' Dwight Mitchell and Jack D. Mitchell, all of Upalco Troop 258; Steve Walker Walk-er and Iva Dee Street, of Mt. Home Post 2249; Kirk Larsen and Lloyd Murray of Bluebell Troop 269; Austin Burton of Talmage Troop 257; and Billy Shiner of Boneta Troop 256, Get Second Class Badges Pete Nyberg and Carl Stevenson Steven-son of Mt. Home Post 2249 received re-ceived Second Class badges. John Tew and Ronald Christensen of Talmage' had Second Class awards for them. Brent Fisher, Altonah Troop 266, also received his 2nd Class pin. Dean Shiner received the only First Class award. He is from Altonah. Carl Mohlman received home repair merit badge and Layrd Hartman, fishing. They are both from Mt. Emmons. Gene Sodequist, member of the advancement committee', presented present-ed the Scouts and leader's who attended at-tended the 1955 High Uinta camp their camp patches. Gene Berrett, Post 2269 of Bluebell, gave a talk on the High ' Uintah camp. Next Court of Honor will be held' at the Altamont school in connection with the Moon Lake District Circus - Banquet, Monday, Feb. 6. |
