Show Milk Producers Hold Local Meet Milk producers, Hi-Land Dairy officials, and sanitation experts from the Board of Health met together to-gether Monday evening in Mt. Emmons for the purpose of getting better acquainted and solving nroblems together. The sanitation chief, W, V. Hicky, and his as-sistant, as-sistant, Wilbur C. Parkinson of Salt Lake City were present to . - give' advice and find out the needs of the producers in this area. Area sanitation inspectors, Pat Langevin and Paul Freeborn spoke to the group, with instructions on sanitation and the planning and installing of dairy equipment. Two films were shown on the care and production of better quality Grade "A" milk; the latest types of equipment; and methods of building build-ing better, and more compact and efficient barns and milking parlors. par-lors. Also present at the meeting I were Lynn Dye of the Hi-Land plant in Roosevelt, and Hi-Land field managers, Glen Sargent and Dale Fitzgerald. Mr. Fitzgerald also al-so addressed the group. Following the films, ice cream sandwiches and an orange drink were served to all present. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Hansen have gone to Salt Lake City to stay I ! for a time. Mrs, Hansen is. work-1 t ing for her brother there. J Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Powell I and daughters, Beth and Linda, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Powell Friday and Saturday, While ' here they' attended the funeral of Mrs. Chester Hartman. William Evans left Friday, Jan. i 14 on a bus trip to St, Louis, ! Mo. for the Rural Telephone Con- i vention there. Wanless Shields' of ; Arcadia also went to the conven-! conven-! tion. Games were played, with Mrs. Muriel Kolb and Mrs. Eva Bentley winning first and second prizes. Cake, ice cream and punch were enjoyed by Rita Hansen, Sybil Peel, June Harmon, Muriel Kolb, Rhea Lambert, Eva Bentley, Naomi Denver and Lois LaRose. |
