Show oo GOVERNOR CAUGHT SPEEDING Provor Sopt. 5. The "automobiles in which Governor William Spry and others of the party, who were inspecting in-specting the county and state ro3ds in the southern part of Utah county today, were all declared to be going too fast and were stopped by the authorities au-thorities at Springville. The mayor, was found, however, and the members of the governor's party persuaded him that their excuse, that they were in a hurry to catch a train, was sufficient cause for speeding and they were allowed al-lowed to proceed. Governor Spry, with State Treasurer Treasur-er David Mattson and State Engineer Engin-eer Caleb Tanner, members of tho state road commission, and Professor Profes-sor J. W Jensen of the Agricultural college came to Provo this morning and with the county commissioners of Utah county, County Road Surveyor Ray Mcntz and Road Commissioner George Myers, went over the roads il the south end of tho country on a trip of Inspection. The trip was made tl decide upon the route to be selected for the state highway in which tho county and state are jointly Interested. |
