These ladies have been elected to direct the Parent Teachers Association activities for the Parowan Elementary for the 1976-77 school year. Parowan Elementary PTA Election PAROWAN - The Parowan Elementary PTA will hold their annual election during the next week. Candidates have been chosen and will be voted on by members of the PTA. Kristine Robinson and Anna Mecham will vie for the position of president elect. Kristine is married to Jim Robinson and the mother of six children. She has held many civic and church positions and is now serving as Stake Young Womens Director in the APYW. Anna is married to Frank Mecham and the mother of two children. She has also been active in civic and church affairs and is how serving as a counselor in the Relief Society. Secretary and treasurer candidates will be Geraldine W. Bettridge and Marie Adams. Geraldine is married to Dale Bettridge,. they have four children. Marie is married to Jim Adams and they have two children. Both work in primary and have had experience as ' secretaries. Linda Larson will serve as next year's president following Reah Burt who is this year's president. The PTA would like all members to cooperate by voting and seeing that their ballots are returned to the school. At the PTA meeting held Monday plans were formulated for the annual birthday party for the Elementary Buildingto be held April 9th. This will be the schools. 14th birthday. A party with refreshments and decorations will be held for the children in the Elementary School. Bike licensing will be continued con-tinued with a special day to be held Saturday at the school. Hours for licensing will be 12 noon to 3 p.m. Price will be 1.00 per bike for a lifetime license. Also a free lazy eye. clinic will be held April 6th for children age 3 to 5 beginning at 10 a.m. This will be the same day as kindergarten registration. Everyone is urged to take advantage of this service. |
