Show t UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FEDERAL POWER COMMISSION NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR NEW MINOR LICENSE (CONSTRUCTED) (February 12, 1976) Public notice is hereby given that an application was filed on May 22, 1975, and revised on September 18, 1975, under .the Federal Power Act (16U.S.C. 79la-825r) by Parowan City7 Utah ' (Correspondence to: Kendall O. Gurr, Mayor, Parowan City, Utah 84761; Dennis B. Horman, Engineer, Intermountain Consumer Con-sumer Power Association, P.O. Box BB, Sandy, Utah 84070; and Dennis Lowder, City Recorder, Parowan City, Utah 84761) for a new minor license for the constructed con-structed Center Creek Project No. 1273 located on Parowan Creek in Iron County, near Parowan City, Utah. The project affects lands of the United States. The existing project consists of: (1) a small concrete overflow-type diversion dam approximately ap-proximately 85 feet long, con-; con-; trolled by a radial gate; (2) a well supplying water to either the forebay or to a small storage ; . pond; (3) a- concrete intake structure with trash racks on the west end of the diversion dam; (4) a 19,300 foot long steel penstock pen-stock with varying diameters; (5) an indoor-type powerhouse with a single generator rated at 600 kw; and (6) appurtenant facilities. The 1 Applicant is a municipality . as defined in Section 3 (7) of the Federal Power Act ( 16 U.S.C. 796 (7). The Applicant is engaged in a , public, service by generating, purchasing, distributing, and selling of electric power to domestic commercial, and industrial in-dustrial customers in and around Parowan City. The Applicant also supplies power to Paragonah, Utah. ' Any person desiring to be heard or to make any protest .with reference to said application ap-plication should on or before ; April 26, 1976, file with the Federal Power Commission, Washington, D.C., 20426, a petition to intervene or a protest in accordance with the requirements of the Commission's Com-mission's Rules pf Practrice and Procedure (18 CFR 1.8 or 1.10). All protests filed with the Commission will be considered by it in determining the appropriate ap-propriate action to be taken but will not serve to make the , protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party to .a proceeding or to participate as a party in any hearing therein " must file a petition to intervene in accoreance with the Commission's Com-mission's Rules.
