Through the cooperative efforts of the Cedar City Lions Club and BPOE Lodge 1556 a special banquet will be held Thursday, April 1, to recognize the law enforcement personnel of Iron County. Special day has been proclaimed by G. D. MacDonald of the Iron County Commission. Shown here, left to right, are: Ira Schoppmann, Iron County Sheriff; Mr. MacDonald; J. Clair Morris, Lions president; Marion Widick, Elks Exalted Ruler ; Neil Bishop of the Utah Highway Patrol and Douglas Bolton, Cedar City Chief of Police. Law and Order Banquet scheduled Captain Frank Grant of the Administrative Services Division of the Utah Highway Patrol of Salt Lake City, will be the guest speaker at the sixth annual Law and Order Banquet jointly sponsored by the BPOE Lodge No. 1556 and the Lions Club of Cedar City. The banquet will be held Thursday evening, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sugar Loaf Cafe. To be honored will be all of the law enforcement officers of Iron County. All law enforcement officers from the Cedar City Police Department, the Iron County Sheriff Office and the Utah Highway Patrol will be honored guests, according to Marion Widick, exalted ruler for the Elks Lodge and Clair Morris, Lions Club president, who are co- chairmen of the event. The annual banquet is spon: sored to pay tribute to the dedication and to the effectiveness ef-fectiveness of the law enforcement en-forcement agencies of the area, the co-chairmen stated. Club and Lodge members, as well as the general public, have been invited to attend this special appreciation banquet. |
