Show Area High School Students to attend Industrial Education Day An estimated 1 XX) junior and senior high school students from Utah, Nevada and, Arizona schools will compete in industrial education contests May 4 at Southern Utah State College. As participants in SUSC's traditional Industrial Education Day activities, students will compete in senior and junior high drafting, electronics and woods, in senior auto mechanics and welding, and in junior high bench metals. Ribbons will be awarded winners in each area of on-campus on-campus competition and also for outstanding projects completed earlier by visiting students at their respective schools. SUSC Industrial Education Club members will assist faculty members as contest judges. Several scholarships to attend SUSC will be awarded outstanding out-standing senior students according ac-cording to Kenneth S. Munford, assistant professor of technology and I.E. Day chairman. "We are very pleased to have Industrial Education Day activities ac-tivities again at SUSC," Professor Munford said. "This year we are doubly pleased because we will be holding contests and demonstrations in our new Industrial Education building." "We cordially invite the public to visit SUSC May 4 to check out the outstanding projects completed com-pleted by our junior and senior high school guests," he said. Exhibits will be open between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the SUSC War Memorial Fieldhouse. |
