Mr. Grover Lewis spent five days in Sun Valley, Idaho. 1 Grover was writing an article on Richard Pryor for Playboy 'magazine. j Mr.' and : Mrs.' ' Richard Woodury and sons of West Jordon spent the weekend here visiting their mother Mrs. Ar-vella Ar-vella Woodbury. Mr. ' and Mrs. Truit Morrell traveled to Las Vegas for Truit to see the doctor at Nellis Air Force base. He has been very ill and they placed him in the base hospital for several days treatment. Mr. Cleo Williams of Salt Lake City spent two days here with his niece Mrs. Alenna Berry. Mrs. Scott Berry returned home Wed. after spending four and a half months in Phoenix, Ariz. Scott graduated from Horse Shoing School and has been employed there since, j Mr. Meredith Munford has gone to Huntington where he has employment with Shocker Co. i Mr. and Mrs. Bud Williams and family spent Sat. in Las Vegas, Nev. visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Eith Williams and family. Mrs. Grace McEown of Cedar City spent Friday here visiting with her sister Mabel Williams. J Shelly Currey and Barbara Munford visited Friday evening with Sgt. and Mrs. Paul Winebarger of Corona, Calif. The Winebargers were former residents here. Tony Cornelius, scout master, took his troop on an overnight camping trip up in Spring Creek Canyon. Scouts enjoying the trip were Delbert Reeves, Bryce Gubler, Travis Batty and Chris Reed. ,ri Mr; Neil Bauer traveled to Salt Lake City last week with his "Radio Communicator Class from SUSC to take tests to be Ham Radio Operators. Miss Nancy Bauer went to Salt Lake over the weekend with the Mohey Tawa girls marching group from the Cedar City High School to compete in the State Marching finals. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Reeves spent Wed. in St. George with their son and family Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Reeves. Mark Polloch and Neil Bauer spent the weekend in Page, Ariz. : visiting with Val Davis who manages .the Ace Hardware store there. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Leeder and family spent Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Las Vegas Nev. visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ford and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Williams of Cedar City had birhtday dinner here on March 16 with their uncle Elmer Davies. He was 80 years old. They also visited their mother Sylva Williams and their Aunt Bessie Davies. KANARRAVILLE NEWS By Carma Williams A baby boy was born March 15 at Valley View Medical Center to Mr. and Mrs. James Murdock. Happy over the arrival of their new grandson were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Murdock of Milford. Elder David Ence was speaker in Sacrament Meeting Sunday. David reported on his mission he just completed in Maryland. His grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ence, his uncles Keith and Gayle Ence and family, Don and Shirley Ence all from Cedar City were here to hear David's talk. After church Austin and Nedra Ence had them all up to their home for dinner. Bill and Frances Byrne, Jimmy Davis and Judy Gubler i left Monday for vCalif. The Byrne's and Jimmy visited in Claremont with the Byrnes daughter and family. Judy visited in Teple City with her sister. Bill, Jimmy and Judy returned home Thursday but Frances stayed in Calif, where she is entering the hospital there for surgery. Spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Verl Beckstead was their Uncle ' Mr. Carlos Lee Master of Haines, Oregon. Many relatives and friends attended the wedding reception in New Harmony March 17 for Mr. and Mrs. 'Robert Groke. Wed. evening Frank and Harlene Sheppard attended a Credit Union Banquet and business meeting held at the Town & Country. Thursday evening the Sheppards and Bea Knudson attended a Job's ' Daughters Chinese dinner at the Masonic Hall in Cedar City. Mrs. Mabel Williams returned home Wed. after spending the |
