Show f - J ' f - i r TO CELEBRATE ANNIVERSARY. William M. and Ida E. Merryweather will celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary March 20. Family gathered for observance in November. William and Ida Merryweather celebrate 60th Wedding Anniv. William M. and Ida E. Merryweather will celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary on March 29. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on March 29, 1916, they then moved to CedaV City where Bill was a master plumber for over 40 years. After retiring from the plumbing and heating business Bill and Ida moved to St. George where they were called to work as officiators in the Temple and Bill was employed as the Temple Engineer. This 60th wedding anniversary was celebrated earlier at Thanksgiving time when most of the family could be present. A program was presented after the holiday dinner with the great grandchildren singing to the honored couple. The grandchildren grand-children each had a ra-ta-ta for their grandparents, giving stories they had heard their grandfather and grandmother tell. Then each of their four daughters gave a tribute to their loving parents. Traveling from California were: Atha and Stan Abel with their family; Pat and Roy Atkin and children, Troy, Sherolyn and Melanie; Bill and Cathy Abel and children, Tari and Jeff; Mark and Bonnie Abel and children, Greg, Wendy and Mendy; their son Bob and wife Inez and daughter Jennifer were unable to attend. Also from California were: Afton and Eddie Edwards with their daughter Elizabeth; their son Tom and wife Peggy. Another son Gary and his wife Vickie were unable to attend. From Parowan were: Lael and' Dick Dotson with their sons Paul and Rick; Their daughter Christine and husband Bob Heywood from Salt Lake with Robby and Ryan their sons. From Salt Lake City : Orell and Dean Maxwell with their family, Debi, Mark, David, Dale, Brent, Bryan, and Marcie. Bill and Ida have enjoyed 60 years of happiness and they attribute this to their activity in unselfish service to their church and their family. |
