Peters, cashier of the First National bank of Brigham City, has been named as chairman for Box Elder county in the third Liberty loan drive which will begin soon. Mr. Peters has acted in the capacity of chairman of all previous prev-ious drives, both Red Cross, soldier's benefit and the two previous Liberty loan campaigns. A. LIslo Eddy has taken charge of the Brigham City Pharmacy, after several years' affiliation with tho Eddy Drug company. Tho pharmacy became consolidated with tho Eddy Drug company a few years ago and was uuder tho management of Wynn L. Eddy. In making tho change A. L. Eddy relinquished his holdings in the Eddy Drug company. The four city wards, which own tho old opera house, have decided to dispose dis-pose of tho property and aro asking bids on tho property, which is situated on one of the best corners in the city, Forest street and First West. The opera house, used a playhouse here for a scoro of years, was damaged beyond further use by firo last fall, and a second firo a short time ago put tho finishing touches on tho old building. Tho property fronts 77 feet on Forest street and 114 fcot on First West street. Tho walls of the old building are in excellent condition, despite their age, but the building is not such as to bo adaptlble for anything but a playhouse, play-house, so in all probability tho purchasers pur-chasers will buy the proporty with the view of erecting a modern business block on tho site. William Hirschi of Park Valloy was Inducted into tho service undor call number seven, tho Spruco Products division of tho aviation servico, and was sent to Vancouver Barracks, Wash. Albert Levi Davis and David M. Paskett woro inductod' under call number 28, which is tho coast artillery artil-lery division, and were sent to Fort Logan, Colo, Box Eldor county's assessed valuation valua-tion for 1918 Is ?30,478,b08. This amount is distributed In the various precincts as follows: Brigham City, $3,028,028; Perry, 344.410; Willard, $532,595; Mantua, ?120,206; Honey-ville, Honey-ville, $529,811; Corlnne, $226,964; Tre-monton, Tre-monton, $475,160; Bear River City, $150,772; Garland, $390,951; Fielding, $72,019; corporations, $14,341,247. The Southern (Central) Pacific Railroad Rail-road company is the greatest tax payer in Box Elder county, and perhaps the states. Its tax in 1918 will be $135.-987.44. $135.-987.44.
