Show HEALTH REPORT According to the vital statistics report re-port of George Shorten, city sanitary commissioner, there were twenty births as against three deaths for last week. In the birth total, the males led by a count of twelve to eight over their baby sisters. In tho deam total, two were males and one was a female. The weekly report also shows a decreased de-creased contagion total, in that only twenty-five cases were reported. Measles lead, there being sixteen cases of measles as against only seven cases of chlckenpox, the nearest competitor. com-petitor. There was ono case each of scarlot fever and smallpox. Pneu- u2 monia, whooping cough, typhoid fevei and diphtheria failed to register. March 1 was the coldest day of the week, with a temperature of 19 de grees above zero. February 27 was tho coldest day of the -week with a temperature of 13 degrees above zero. Tho second coldest day was March 1 The highest temperature was registered regis-tered last Monday, when the mercury climbed to 50 degrees above zero. |
