Show Installation of New Officers Held at Jaycee Ecsnquet The Pleasant Grove Jaycees and Gems held their installation of new officers recently at a banquet. The table decorations consisted of lovely love-ly red carnations and white sweet peas. With small master oasKets as favors for the men and little blue plaster rabbits for the women, the flowers and favors were under the direction of the Gems. Kent Palfreyman of Springville, State Vice President for the Jaycees Jay-cees was guest speaker. Retiring Jaycee President Jack Lee was in charge of the meeting. After dinner din-ner was served the installation of the new officers was held. The time was turned over to the Gems for their part. A corsage cor-sage of white carnations was presented pre-sented to the new Gem President, Mrs. Jack Lee by the retiring Gem President, Mrs. Ted Jones. After this Mrs. Lee presented Mrs. Jones with the official past president's pin. Then the new president, Mrs. Lee introduced her new officers for the year, as follows: Mrs. Don Stubbs, vice pr-.t.-j-snt; Mr Kenneth Ken-neth Shoell, secretary-treasurer; Mrs. Ted Jones as director. Mrs. Harold Prestwich, retiring secretary secre-tary for the Gems, gave the financial fin-ancial rpport for the Gems. Mr. Palfreyman presented Ted Jones with the official president's pin, and then installed; the other officers as follows: Emile Cances, first vice president; Holly Max-field, Max-field, second vice president; Jack Lee, state director; Harold Prestwich, Prest-wich, hold-over director; Dewey Wilkinson, 2-year director; Samuel Green, Calvin Mills, Don Stubbs, as one-year directors. Mr. Palfreyman spoke on the coming state convention in Logan the new officers and the support of the rest of the club. Mr. Lee was thanked for the fine support and job he has done for the past year for the Jaycees. New president presi-dent Ted Jones presented Mr. Lee with the official past-president's pin. The new Jacyee officers will hold a board meeting the first part of April to elect a secretary and outline out-line the year's activities. |
