Show American Legion Banquet, Party Very Successful Forty Legion.airres, Ladies of the Auxiliary and guests attended the Americanism-Birthday dinner party at the Alpine Villa Grill Friday night. Commander Irwin Jensen was master of ceremonies. He introduced Post Adjutant Karl Banks, who gave a brief history his-tory of the organization of the American Legion in France March 13 to 17, 1918; and also of the organization of the local Post 70 and Auxiliary Unit. Mr. Banks in turn introduced Lynn Walker, Dallas Isakson, Kay Nagel and Eugene Brimhall, students stu-dents of Pleasant Grove High School, who gave their winning Americanism Essays. Sarah Seibel of American Fork High School delivered her Regional first place oration, "The Constitution Consti-tution In a Changing World." Warren Kirk favored with two vocal solos. Auxiliary Unit President Sylvia Peterson spoke briefly wishing the Legion a happy birthday and presented pre-sented a large birthday cake decorated with an American Flag. Mrs. Manila Brown of Spring-vile, Spring-vile, Auxiliary President of District Dist-rict IV expressed appreciation for being invited to attend, and called attention to the Disctrict IV Con-veniton Con-veniton slated for late in April.
