Show Lindon Planners Have Hearing on Zoning Problems City planners and couniilmen met with Lindon property owners recently for the second hearing designated to seek universal approval ap-proval of proposed roads and revised re-vised zoning ordinances appearing on sectional maps recently completed comple-ted with the help of planning consultant, I. Dale Despain. Up to date the majority of the city's taxpayers are willing to accept ac-cept the maps without changes. They also appear to be in agreement agree-ment with the planning board members that with Orem's rapid growth northward and Pleasant Grove's southward expansion that Lindon can and will eventually become be-come a stumbling block if adequate ade-quate roads arent wisely planned. However, city officials want citizens citi-zens to thoroughly understand that the program is a long range plan that will take many years to fully complete. Roads have been planned to provide pro-vide for the natural growth of the city, and as far as was possible the planners placed them on property pro-perty lines to facilitate matters for the land owners. Planning Commission Chairman Kenneth R. Gillman also reminded residents that property is of no value unless there is access to it. The third hearing has been set for April 11 in the Lindon Park Building at 8 p.m. All residents in Lindon living between Main Street and First North and East of First West are invited to come and inspect the maps along with those owning property in the designated area. |
